Dwarf rabbits are small rabbits with large heads and eyes, short ears, and compact bodies. They can refer to any small domestic rabbit breed or rabbit with the dwarfing gene. The American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) recognizes 50 rabbit breeds, with the Netherland Dwarf being the smallest. They have a shoulder height of 5–6 inches, a body length of 7.5–9 inches, and weigh between 2–2.5 lbs.
